Contains a series of letters written to family member's during John Sheridan's time at Stalag Luft 3 as a Prisoner of War. The letters go from 1942 until his release in 1945. One postcard included was written during the First World War by a Sheridan family member who was serving overseas. His direct connection to John is unknown. A transcription of the letters is available upon request.

Elden Kearl was pronounced KIA on 27 January, 1944. The collection covers the Second World War as well as Post-War funeral photographs and letters pertaining to Elden Kearl, Bomber Command reunion photographs from 1990, and journals written by Harold during his trips back overseas in the mid-1980s and 1990.
