Contains a series of documents and one journal belonging to Pilot Officer Kenneth Laverne Cannings during his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1940 until 1944. The collection includes a journal written by Cannings, detailing his experiences overseas during his training in Bournemouth, Hooton Park, Wellesbourne, Dalton, and Dishforth. A few photographs and documents are also included. Cannings passed away 9 May, 1944 during a bombing raid over Belgium. A transcription of the journal is available upon request.
